Beverly S. Tatham, Esq.

Soror Beverly S. Tatham was introduced to Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. at St. John’s University and was initiated into Omicron Alpha Chapter in Queens, NY on May 13, 1993. While at St. John’s University, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Paralegal Studies. She also attended Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center – Touro College where she received her Juris Doctorate in 2001. Shortly thereafter, Soror Tatham reclaimed and has been an active and financial member of Sigma Kappa Zeta Chapter (Brooklyn, NY) since 2003. She has held numerous positions within her chapter including but not limited to Basileus, 3rd Anti, Tamias, Grammateus, Antipokritis, Youth Auxiliary (Amicettes) Chair and presently the chapter’s Parliamentarian. Soror Tatham also serves as Chair of The Extolling Excellence Foundation for Service and Scholarship (which is the philanthropic arm of Sigma Kappa Zeta Chapter). In addition, she is currently, Chief Legal Counsel to NYS Director, current NYS Parliamentarian as well as the current Atlantic Region Parliamentarian. Soror Tatham is employed as Trial Counsel at the Law offices of Gregory B. Coburn – in house counsel to Seneca Insurance Company in New York City. She is currently admitted to the Federal Court of the State of New York – Eastern & Southern Districts as well as New York State Bar-Appellate Division Second Department. Her past and present professional affiliations include the New York State Bar Association, NYS Academy of Trial Lawyers and various other local bar associations. In addition to practicing law and sorority life, is a student of parliamentary law. She is a charter member and the current President of the Parliamentarians of Metro New York. In addition to practicing law and sorority life, Soror Tatham is a marathoner and enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. Soror Tatham’s favorite quote is Aristotle’s “we are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit” which is the guiding principle of her spiritual, personal and professional journey.
