ARLC ReflectionZ: Soror Walker Says She's Feeling 'Invigorated and Revived' After ARLC

Sorors from all across the Awesome Atlantic Region made their way to Baltimore, Maryland to attend the 58th Atlantic Regional Leadership Conference (ARLC). Here’s how Soror Chantelle Walker of Delta Alpha Zeta Chapter (Brooklyn, New York) described her time in Maryland:

“I am happy to share my 2019 ARLC experience. It has been over 6 years since I last attended an ARLC and I was not disappointed. I have attended ZOL, Boule and countless state meetings and this has been my favorite conference to date (with ZOL 2017 a close second); I feel invigorated and revived in my confidence in Zeta, my region, my chapter and myself! The region’s business moved at unparalleled levels of efficiency.

A huge shout out to Madame Regional Director Gina Merritt-Epps, Esq. Seeing our International Grand Basileus Valerie Hollingsworth-Baker present her report in her home region was one for the books. I truly enjoyed seeing our Undergraduate Member-at-Large preside over our final business session. It was inspiring and represented a level of inclusion that we should see more often.

The social events were great and did not feel like an afterthought. Huge thanks to the undergraduates for planning the day party. Watching Sorors young and seasoned starting and joining stroll lines brought warmth to my heart. The energy was addicting.

Thank you for ARLC for making sure we handled the business of the region and had a good time. It is important that we always aim to achieve both! It was a pleasure seeing Sorors from different making new connections. I look forward to doing it all again in Connecticut.”
